"Sorrow" by Abraham Lincoln

In this sad world of ours, sorrow comes to all,
and it often comes with bitter agony.
Perfect relief is not possible,
except with time.
You cannot believe that you will ever feel better.
But this is not true.
You are sure to be happy again.
Knowing this,
truly believing it,
will make you less miserable now.
I have had enough experience to make this statement.

Chicken Soup for the Grieving Soul

"The measure of life, after all, is not its duration but its donation."
-Peter Marshall

"Go then, merrily, to heaven."
-Richard Burton

"Death is the end of a lifetime, not the end of a relationship."
-Mitch Albom

"Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."
-Inspired by an Eskimo Legend

"When someone dies, you don't get over it by forgetting; you get over it by remembering, and you are aware that no person is ever truly lost or gone once they have been in our life and loved us, as we have loved them."
-Leslie Marmon Silko
