Obituary

Daniel Matthew Sprott, age 29, of Harrison died Thursday, Oct. 19 (2006) at his home. He was born July 12, 1977, in Little Rock, the son of James Daniel and Janis Ann (Greene) Sprott. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrison and a 1995 graduate of Harrison High School.
Daniel served as a legal assistant at the law firm of Sprott & Golden and was a licensed process server for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of the State of Arkansas. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Harrison Rotary Club. He loved his family, fishing, four-wheeling and flying, along with many trips across the country, including NASCAR races and Cardinal ball games, and visiting his sisters in Jonesboro and Fayetteville.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Garland J. and Maxine J. Greene. Survivors include his parents, James D. Sprott and Janis A. Sprott of Harrison; his sisters, Sarah Sprott Heringer and her husband, Ryan Heringer, of Jonesboro and Emily Ann Sprott of Fayetteville; five godsons; his paternal grandparents, Joseph E. Sprott and Virginia K. Sprott, of Huntsville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends who admired him greatly.
Daniel will be remembered for his persistence, endurance, courage and his ability to love life regardless of his circumstances. He fought pain daily, laughed incessantly and conquered unfathomable difficulties. He will be missed by all who took the time to know him.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the First Baptist Church in Harrison with Rev. Rob Davis officiating and interment immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison. Pallbearers will be Adam Archer, Tony Sprott, Ryan Heringer, Jonathan McIllwain, Justin Maland, Dusty Rhoads, Charles "Bubba" Wright, Jake Fast, Oval Ritter, Doug Potter, Dana Smalley, and William Courtney.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202, where Daniel spent many, many days and nights, or another charity of choice. Online condolences may be left at www.christesonfuneralhome.com.
*Note: The Boone County Courthouse on the Harrison square closed on Monday morning in honor of Daniel. What an honor!
