Our precious Daniel...

This is a blog devoted to our beloved Daniel Matthew Sprott, July 12, 1977 - October 19, 2006. Daniel's life was and always will be an inspiration to all of us and everyone who took the time to know him. He was a precious son, grandson, big brother, godfather (of five godsons), and friend. He lived life to its fullest, never complained about his circumstances, and always wore a smile on his face. Daniel died peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of October 19th, 2006. His death came as a shock, but we take comfort in the fact that he is dancing and running with Jesus now, pain-free.

We ask that you please say a prayer for our family. To us, Daniel was a normal brother, son, and friend. We loved him more than anyone could be loved. He was a miracle to all of us and we are so grateful to have had him for 29 years and three months. However, our family will never be the same without our Dan-Dan (Emily's nickname for him)/Naniel (Sarah's nickname for him). He will be missed beyond words. Our hearts hurt right now.

Daniel was the comedian in our family. He was extremely witty and always had something smart to say. Please share with our family funny stories of or about our Daniel Matthew.

We challenge everyone to DARE TO BE A DANIEL!

-The Sprott Family

DARE TO BE A DANIEL:
Standing by a purpose true,
Heeding God’s command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel’s band!

Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel’s band.

Many giants, great and tall,
Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel’s band.

Hold the Gospel banner high!
On to vict’ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel’s band.

I am so sorry about Daniel. He meant more to me than probably anyone (unfortunately even him) knew.

He was just incredibly wonderful all around. Such a good spirit.

I received this prayer yesterday that is so very hard for us on earth, but as you can reach for faith that he is in a better place.

Will miss him so much, please let me know if I can do anything. I will be up there to see you all soon.

Love,

Laura

May today there be peace within….. Peace , free from worldly pain
May you trust God that you are where you are meant to be. This is the tough one as Daniel will be SO greatly missed by so many but as they say the Good die young.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. Knowing he is with God
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you....Daniel was Love.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God... A sweet child of God.
Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. Free in Heaven
It is there for each and every one of us. As Hard as it seems to reach sometimes…is there.

May God be with our sweet Daniel.

He touched my heart and others with his positive, steady, sincere, and wonderful ways more than anyone knows. Bringing a sound Blessing to everyone. Even my friends he just met a moment on Saturday. Emily, Thank you so much for that visit!

I really love Daniel.

May he celebrate “sing, dance, praise and love” with Grandma, Grandpa, and God once again. Such a wonderful Strong Soul to all. The Birthdays are together again.

Dear Sprotts, I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral of Daniel. Words can't express the loss you feel over your dear son and your sweet brother. I will continue praying for you all. If you allow it the Lord will give you that peace that passes all understanding. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Robyn

Daniel was a great friend to me in a silly computer game called Star Wars Galaxies. Even though this is a computer generated community, he was one of the finest people I had the chance to "Know". I am deeply sorry he is no longer with us, but I feel he must be in a better place. We'll meet up again.

Daniel and I played a game together called Star Wars galaxies. When I first started playing I had no idea that I would become such good friends with people, and Daniel was one of the best ive had. he was like an older brother to me, and not a day will go by where I wont remember him. Goodbye Daniel, we'll meet eachother someday.

Daniel was a great online friend of mine. It may be difficult for people too understand. But within our city in a video game known as Star Wars Galaxies, Daniel (Belkin) was an inspiration to all, and was loved by many. Tomorrow night inside our game we are holindg a memorial service in his name. Hundreds of people are attending. We'll miss you Daniel :)

Daniel and I have been friends since high school. Even though we have only seen each other a few times in the past several years he has been a great friend. He always made me smile, and I will truly miss seeing e-mails from him pop up in my in-box. My sincerest condolences to your family.

I've never used a blog before and it looks like I did it wrong! I left Jan a comment but when I looked back at the site, I found it in the comment section under his Dad's posting. I hope you have a chance to read it - IF you can find it!
My heart goes out to the Sprott family and our prayers are with you all.

For Jan and Family--I never knew Daniel, but I know he had to bring so much joy into your lives. Isn't it wonderful to know he is with Jesus now and having such a good time! The last time I saw you Jan was at Ernie Rosica's funeral--several months have passed and we have shared so much on the FC blog that I feel like I'm part of the FC bunch again--and that is in part from knowing you and learning about your family!
Love and prayers go with you always.
Love, Paulette (Bogie) Bogart Fancher, Carrollton, MS
